The Origin
Blackdog didn't start with a business plan. It started with a decision — to stop working around the things I loved and start building something inside them.
I came up through the creator economy. I'd spent years watching how sponsorship deals were being done — the missed connections, the bad fits, the brands that should have been in these communities but had no idea how to get there. And the creators who deserved better partners than what the generalist agencies were offering them.
I also happened to be obsessed with the motor world. Motorcycles, 4x4s, adventure culture — not as a category to exploit, but as a world I genuinely wanted to be part of. When those two things collided, Blackdog was the result.
That was over four years ago. We started with nothing — no investment, no playbook, no guarantee it would work. Just relationships, a deep knowledge of how deals get done, and a real connection to the communities we serve.
